OUR PROCESS

We follow a strict 8 step process that ensures the quality of our work.

1. Receiving

 Units are either collected by Modi or delivered to at our premises as per the customers preference. A receiving inspection, identification and verification procedure is undertaken.

2. Pre-Cleaning

Heavy contaminants are removed prior to stripping.

3. Stripping

Conducted by experienced, trained personnel in accordance with maintenance manuals.

4. Cleaning

Thorough cleaning takes place using the following methods – Detergent Steam Cleaning, Centrifugal non-Corrosive, Hot Solvent (Magnus), Bead Blasting

.

5. Inspection

 In accordance with OEM acceptance criteria.
A full Failure Report for each unit together with a detailed itemized quote is then prepared and submitted to the customer for approval.

6. Assembly

 On approval of the quote we order the necessary parts. Simultaneously the repairable parts are taken to our in-house engineering division to commence repairs.

When the parts are received, we assemble in accordance with OEM standards
The Fully equipped workshop is a clean and controlled environment. The assemblers are fully trained experienced artisans.

7. Testing

 Dynamometer Testing:
We have a Transmission Dynamometer which simulates underground working conditions to ensure quality control.
The Tests that are conducted include tests for input and output torque, stall torque, input output speeds, temperature, clutch, lubrication and convertor pressures, Checking for oil leaks.

Axle Testing:
The units are run up to temperatures of 90 degrees before the following is checked- oil leaks, brake release pressure and cooling flow and pressure

8. Final Inspection & Dispatch

Units verified to satisfy QAP06 process control
Customer handling requirements satisfied
Correct delivery documents
